We report on a patient with long-standing severe autonomic failurethat affected his sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems.Antibodies against the ganglionic acetylcholine receptors weredetected in the serum. Removal of the antibodies by means ofplasma exchange resulted in a dramatic clinical improvement.
