Radiotherapy is curative for localized Hodgkin's disease,1,2and there is now general agreement that advanced Hodgkin's diseasecan be cured by chemotherapy. This opinion is bolstered by the20-year survival experience of the original group of patientstreated with combination chemotherapy at the National CancerInstitute (Figure 1) and by experience with other regimens (Table 1)2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9.
