To the Editor: On behalf of the National Surgical Adjuvant Breastand Bowel Project (NSABP), we wish to call your attention tomisconduct by one of its investigators, Dr. Roger Poisson, atSt. Luc Hospital in Montreal. Instances of falsification andfabrication of data affect several studies published by membersof the NSABP in the Journal: Protocols B-06,1,2 B-13,3 and B-144.
In June 1990, a protocol statistician at the NSABP reporteda discrepancy in the date of surgery between two copies of whatappeared to be identical operative reports for a patient whohad been randomly assigned to treatment . . . [Full Text of this Article]
