The objective of the editor of Difficult Concepts in Cardiology was to present issues of current interest in cardiology in a manner that is applicable, personal, and "fun to read." The book has achieved these goals. The 18 chapters by contributors from various hospitals in England and the Thoraxcentrum in the Netherlands cover a broad range of subjects. These include topics of general interest, such as drug therapy for angina and refractory hypertension, as well as topics with a more specific focus, such as interventional techniques in children and angioplasty for acute infarcts.
