This book begins with dramatic color plates showing the different forms of skin involvement in systemic sclerosis (or scleroderma) and pictures of the histopathology of the disease. Also commendable is the opening chapter, an interesting and scholarly history of scleroderma, which includes the personal touches of a clinician who has been long involved with this illness.
The book is organized along practical and utilitarian lines. Each chapter is directly related to the special interests and expertise of the author or authors writing the chapter. This makes it easy for the reader interested in involvement of the heart, skin, or lungs
