A 69-year-old, right-handed woman was admitted to the hospitalbecause of a left parieto-occipital hemorrhage during treatmentwith warfarin for transient cerebral ischemic attacks.
The patient had been well until 30 months earlier, when shesuddenly became unable to speak properly and experienced numbnessin the right cheek.
