Patients with epilepsy contend with repetitive attacks whose type, frequency, and severity vary enormously from person to person. Depending on the complexity of their symptoms, patients may be cared for by physicians in general practice, pediatricians, internists, or subspecialists in neurology, neurosurgery, or psychiatry.
