Allopurinol-Induced Orotidinuria — A Test for Mutations at the Ornithine Carbamoyltransferase Locus in Women . Because of an analytic error, the data in Table 1 and Table 2 and Figure 1 and in parts of the Abstract and text were incorrect, as were the calculated specificities and sensitivities. The study was repeated in 21 normal women and 25 obligate heterozygotes. (Each group contained some of the participants in the original study, but no probable heterozygotes were tested.) The new upper limits of urinary orotidine excretion (mean values +3 SD) in normal women are 6.4, 4.8, and 4.7 µmol per millimole . . . [Full Text of this Article]
