In recent months, Congress overwhelmingly passed legislationforcing health plans to pay for 48-hour hospital stays for womendelivering babies, passed a resolution promoting mammographyfor women in their forties, and passed a bill outlawing abortionsby intact dilation and extraction ("partial-birth abortions").
