To the Editor: Cardiac adrenergic signals have an important role in regulating cardiac function and myocardial blood flow.1,2 We describe a patient with normal coronary arteries who had angina at rest, which was associated with myelitis of the thoracic spinal cord, including the origin of the cardiac sympathetic nerves. A nonsmoking 53-year-old woman with a history of mild arterial hypertension was admitted to our hospital for a severe episode of angina at rest. Electrocardiography revealed a horizontal ST-segment depression up to 3 mm in leads V2 through V6. Transthoracic echocardiography showed anteroseptal hypokinesia.
