Figure 1. A 24-year-old man was treated with high-dose cytarabine and idarubicin for relapsed acute myeloid leukemia. Ten days after beginning chemotherapy, the patient required nasal tamponade for heavy epistaxis. Three days later, tenderness over the right maxillary sinus and right-sided periorbital swelling developed. Computed tomography (top panel) revealed opacification of the ethmoidal right sinus (black arrow) and thickening of the periorbital soft tissue (white arrows) but no bone destruction.
