Presentation of Case

A 60-year-old man was admitted to the hospital because of a pulmonary infiltrate.

The patient had been well until 16 months earlier, when he was found to have a cervical soft-tissue mass, 3 cm by 3 cm by 2 cm, with an adjacent osteolytic lesion of the C6 vertebra. A diagnosis of multiple myeloma was made. The neck was stabilized by a cervical laminectomy with an iliac-bone autograft; radiotherapy was administered postoperatively.

Ten months before admission, a mass was discovered in the right flank, with osteolytic lesions in a rib and the left iliac crest. The IgG level was elevated. . . . [Full Text of this Article]
