Figure 1. Four weeks after undergoing surgery to remove an intraventricular meningioma, a 64-year-old woman had recurrent episodes of dyspnea and hypotension. Ultrasonography revealed a deep venous thrombosis involving the left popliteal vein. Treatment with heparin and dobutamine was started, and the patient was transferred to our hospital. On admission, she had severe dyspnea, a blood pressure of 110/80 mm Hg, and a pulse of 105 beats per minute.
