To the Editor: Constrictive pericarditis is characterized bya thickened and adherent pericardium that restricts diastolicfilling of the heart.1 Although many diagnostic criteria forconstrictive pericarditis have been proposed, not all casesnecessarily fulfill them.2 Thus, the diagnosis of constrictivepericarditis is sometimes difficult.
