Presentation of Case

A 45-year-old woman was admitted to another hospital because of exertional dyspnea and bilateral pulmonary nodules.

The patient was legally blind because of retinitis pigmentosa, which had been diagnosed at the age of three years, with loss of peripheral vision. She had been otherwise healthy until 16 months before admission, when she began to have exertional dyspnea, which gradually worsened.
