To the Editor: Körbling et al. (March 7 issue)1 report that some cytokeratin-positive epidermal cells are of donor origin in recipients of peripheral-blood stem-cell allografts.1 Because of the technical limitations of identifying epidermal cells of donor origin by labeling of Y chromosomes and specific staining of five consecutive 4-µm sections, this result should be interpreted with caution.
