In June 2003, the Medicine and Healthcare Products RegulatoryAgency of the British Department of Health warned physiciansto avoid the off-label use of paroxetine, a selective serotonin-reuptakeinhibitor (SSRI) antidepressant, for the treatment of depressionin children (18 years of age or younger).
