The outbreak of severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS) inSingapore ended in late May 2003.1 The Centers for Disease Controland Prevention (CDC) removed its travel alerts for Toronto,Hong Kong, China, and Taiwan shortly thereafter.2 We reportthe first case of SARS to occur in Singapore after the initialworldwide outbreak ended. Our report documents the transmissionof SARS in a laboratory setting.
