Metastasis, the leading cause of death in patients with cancer,is a sequential process that allows cells to move from the primarytumor and grow elsewhere. The development of the metastaticprogram requires the establishment of a vibrant communicationnetwork between tumor cells and nontransformed cells in thehost.
