To the Editor: The studies by Eriksson et al. and Lassen et al. (June 26 issue)1,2 show the superiority of oral rivaroxaban over a fixed dose of enoxaparin for thromboprophylaxis. In both studies, there was a wide range in the body weights of the patients, with the weights at the low and high ends of the range differing by a factor of more than three. Was there any difference in effectiveness or safety as a function of body weight?
