On page 301, the sentence that begins in line 10 of the left-hand column should have read, "And more radically, most adherents of this so-called constructivist view agree that descriptions of nature are not so much `discovered' as `invented' by consensus, because scientific objectivity is pervasively influenced by these ostensibly extraneous social and intellectual factors."
