On page 27, the sentence that begins on line 7 of the right-hand column should have read, "This complication can be avoided by adding two 50-ml ampules of sodium bicarbonate (each containing 50 mmol of sodium bicarbonate) to 1 liter of 0.2 percent sodium chloride (commercially available as 0.2 percent sodium chloride in 5 percent dextrose in water)," not "0.25 N sodium chloride," as printed.
