Interview with Albert Starr on the invention of the first successful artificial heart valve

Dr. Albert Starr coinvented and implanted the first successful artificial heart valve in 1960. He is currently director of academic affairs and bioscience development at Providence Health System of Oregon.

Rachel Gotbaum, the interviewer, is an independent producer based in Boston.
