Presentation of Case

A seven-year-old girl was admitted to the hospital because of a fourth episode of sore throat, dyspnea, and fever.

The child had been born after 35 weeks of gestation to a mother 36 years old (her third pregnancy). The pregnancy was complicated by gestational hypertension but not by the use of medications, cigarettes, or alcohol.
