This is an excellent, comprehensive little book written by one author and divided into five parts followed by a glossary. The five parts cover the nature and causes of cancer, cancer at the cellular and molecular levels, cancer prevention and treatment, the major types of cancer, and prospects for the future. All except the last contain several chapters. The author does not indicate in his preface exactly whom the book is written for, but it is apparently intended for nononcologists.
I found this book extremely easy to read, quite informative at an entry level, and thorough. The author obviously has
