Imaging of the Spine and Spinal Cord is an excellent contribution to the literature. It covers all aspects of spinal imaging, including computed tomography (CT), CT myelography, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), ultrasonography, and angiography. Normal anatomy, development, function, pathophysiology, and radiologic findings are well integrated. The book was originally written in French; this updated and translated edition reads well in English.
The first chapter presents the normal anatomy of the spine, spinal cord, and nerve roots by comparing cadaver sections, multiplanar MRIs, and plain and intrathecally enhanced CT scans. Three-dimensional CT reconstructions are shown where relevant. The normal structures are
