To the Editor: Testa et al. (April 1 issue)1 compared two antihypertensivemedications, captopril and enalapril, with regard to their effectson quality of life in men. Patients treated with captopril hadmore favorable changes in overall quality of life, general perceivedhealth, vitality, health status, sleep, and emotional control.The authors state that previous research had not employed sufficientlysensitive instruments or studied samples large enough to detectmeaningful differences.
