Cardiac Mapping is a lengthy textbook of cardiac electrophysiology, with 41 individual chapters contributed by a variety of authors. It is divided into seven parts and covers a broad range of topics, including the theoretical basis of cardiac mapping, techniques of direct mapping with contact electrodes, computer techniques, noninvasive techniques (mainly body-surface mapping), and other miscellaneous subjects related to the mechanisms of arrhythmias in experimental models and patients. The authors are all experts in the field, and many are frequent contributors to textbooks on arrhythmia. The chapters are generally current and well written.
