To the Editor: As mentioned by Wade et al. in their paper (Nov. 12 issue),¹ we have also investigated the effects of the partial use of the AIDS Clinical Trials Group (ACTG) protocol regimen 076 on the rates of perinatal transmission of the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV).² Our results, with two additional years of data, are shown in Table 1 and in most cases are very similar to the results of Wade et al.
