To the Editor: Socié et al. (July 1 issue)1 reported on the long-term survival of patients who have undergone allogeneic bone marrow transplantation and the rate of death more than two years after transplantation. They provided information on the characteristics and outcomes of long-term survivors after bone marrow transplantation, but the study was a retrospective survey in which data were collected by sending questionnaires to many institutions.
