In this issue of the Journal, in 't Veld and colleagues1 report the results of a long-term prospective study of the relation between the use of nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and the onset of Alzheimer's disease. This important article appears to resolve puzzling conflicts among the results of prior studies of the possible neuroprotective effects of NSAIDs.
