To the editor: On October 24, 2002, an article about septalablation with alcohol for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy was publishedin the Journal.¹ The majority of those named as authors of thearticle did not have an opportunity to review and verify thedata and to approve the manuscript. This unfortunate situationcame to light when the article was published. In view of thisirregularity in the submission process, we request that thatpaper be retracted.
