To the Editor: Wilder-Smith and Schwartz (Sept. 1 issue)1 mention that serotypes of dengue virus are distinguishable by the plaque-reduction neutralization test.2 But they neglect to include this test in Table 2 of the article, which lists laboratory tests for the diagnosis of dengue.
