To the Editor: Cetuximab given concurrently with radiotherapyhas recently been reported to result in a survival benefit forpatients with locally advanced squamous-cell carcinoma of thehead and neck, without increasing the toxic effects of radiotherapy.1We report two cases of severe radiation dermatitis during thecourse of radiotherapy for squamous-cell carcinoma of the headand neck with concomitant use of cetuximab; these two casesof dermatitis occurred among five patients treated accordingto this protocol at our institution.
