In this latest addition to the Current Directions in Autoimmunity series from Karger, a broad spectrum of immune-mediated cutaneous diseases, including most of the major disorders that are known to arise from alterations in cellular and humoral immunity, are covered in 19 chapters. The two chapters on treatment include information about intravenous immunoglobulin, which is finding increasing application in many severe dermatologic diseases. The only group of diseases not given a separate chapter is that of diseases caused by drug reactions (excluding toxic epidermal necrolysis).
