1. Preoperative model (for men who are considering surgery for prostate cancer, but have not had surgery yet)

Prediction of the probability of recurrence after surgery with the use of the available information before the surgery (prostate-specific antigen [PSA] level, Gleason score of the biopsy specimen, and clinical stage)

On the basis of the PSA, Gleason score, and clinical stage, the recurrence probability is calculated at 3, 5, 7, and 10 years after surgery
